In this treasure trove of home movies and private photos, Michael Jackson is not the man we’re used to seeing. Here, he looks happy and relaxed, doing the normal, fun things any affectionate dad would do. A kid’s birthday party, watching the kids put on a play and running around the backyard.
Al Malnik, the godfather of Jackson’s youngest child, revealed these exclusive shots on the Today Show Wednesday.
“The relationship our family had with Michael, and the one that I had, was really extraordinary…We were very close, always talking with each other, and having a lot of fun with our mutual families.”
Jackson and his children stayed at Malnik’s ocean-front mansion in Florida, for several months during 2003 and 2004. Malnik and his wife have triplets around the same age as Jackson’s kids.
“Every day, our backyard was their playground. Michael just enjoyed himself so much with his kids and our children. It was the kind of imaginary fun people used to dream about going to Neverland and experiencing.”
