Rascal Flatts just nabbed the “group of the year” award from the Academy of Country Music– for the seventh year in a row! On Friday, the “unstoppable” group took time out of their busy touring schedule to rock out on the Plaza for The Today Show.
Matt Lauer had a surprise for the band.
“This is a plaque that commemorates… …. and to being country music’s group of the year 7 years in a row that is for you.”
Then they celebrated lead singer Gary’s birthday in style.
“Happy Birthday…”
“It’s been an incredible year so far…”
With a song called “Summer Nights”… it’s a good bet Rascal Flatts will be played at BBQ’s across the nation.
