A day after denying reports she’s expecting her first baby, Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel is coming clean about having a bun in the oven!
“I’m pregnant. I had to be true w u but was unfairly forced to come forward early,” Bethenny wrote on her Twitter page.
“It’s premature to be telling people this,” Frankel, 38, added to People magazine of her news.”It’s not like, ‘Did I Get Botox?’ It’s not the way I wanted it to get out.”
“I haven’t even gone through my first trimester. We haven’t even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancé's] parents didn’t even know.”
Earlier this month, Bethenny and her boyfriend of almost a year, Jason Hoppy, got engaged.
So, was the rush down the aisle something of a “shotgun wedding?”
“Because of my age, it’s not like I was going to meet a boy, and then be engaged for a year and then be married for a year before we started trying [to have kids] … I’d be 45,” she tells the mag. “I got engaged, we got pregnant and we’re gonna get married. It’s a miracle.”
“I’m no spring chicken. I didn’t think it was going to happen right away. Because of my age, sometimes we weren’t totally careful.”
Frankel is also in talks with Bravo to develop her own series, but will remain on The Real Housewives of New York.
