The Oscar winner’s divorce from fellow actor Ryan Phillippe was finalized Thursday in L.A. Superior Court, according to court documents.
Court papers show that custody and financial matters between the couple have not been settled.
Witherspoon first filed for divorce in November 2006 after seven years of marriage.
The pair first met at Reese’s 21st birthday party—where the Legally Blonde star memorably asked Ryan if he was her present. The pair co-starred in Cruel Intentions two years later, in 1999, and he proposed.
Witherspoon and Phillippe have two kids together—8-year-old Ava and 4-year-old Deacon. The couple have indicated they’re pursuing shared custody.
Witherspoon is currently dating Jake Gyllenhaal. Phillippe has been linked with Abbie Cornish, 25.
