Clad in a white bandage jumpsuit, Rihanna made her long awaited comeback to the stage at the 2009 American Music Awards Sunday night.
The much anticipated performance by Rihanna marked her first public appearance since being attacked by her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown last February.
Strapped to a gurney, with the name of her album, Rated R, tattooed to her chest, Rihanna got the crowd going with a medley of two of her recent singles, “Wait Your Turn” and “Hard.”
Throwing her hands in the air, the sci-fi themed routine ended with a voice saying “Rihanna’s reign ain’t gonna end.”
Earlier in the evening, Rihanna made a late appearance on the red-carpet wearing a very revealing oragami-like black and white gown.
