I agree with Kelli about Rob playing that card about him not being able to get a date. I’m sure he’s gottten one but maybe he doesn’t see it like one. But that’s just my opinion. What I don’t like the most, is that he’s a pretty horrible actor, at least for the role of Edward. People who never read the book thinks he did such an amazing job, but if you took the time to appreciate true literature, not just films, you’d see that his performance is such a disgrace, at least in my opinion. He just no where near captures the character, instead almost makes a mockery out of it - though half of it is at fault of the writters - but nonetheless. He’s so NOT Edward.

I hate to break it to you, but “Twilight” is not “true literature.” The books are poorly written. I will say they are the most fun books I’ve ever read, but If you want to get a taste of true literature read books by Sherman Alexie or Elizabeth Strout.

THANK YOU! Yes, they are entertaining but Stephanie Meyer is one of the worst writers I’ve ever read. Literature aside, she’s REAL lucky she’s a best selling author - because she sucks. Really awful. Good story teller - miserable writer. Throughout all four books I was thinking, “This is this is AWFUL!” but you get so into the characters you can’t put it down.

Sweatheart, fans of the series are (mostly) aware that Meyer will never win the nobel prize for literature but not all reading has to be improving, you know? Does the phrase “light entertainment” ring any bells?
BTW, I’ve read both the authors you are naming to show how clever you are and IMHO Strout is an over rated bore.
