Russell Brand’s controversial hosting duties from last year’s MTV Video Music Awards apparently didn’t cost the actor from landing the gig again for the 2009 ceremony.
Last year the British actor the British comedian came under attack for poking fun at the JoBros’ purity rings, leaving presenters like Jordin Sparks in shock.
“It’s not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everybody—guy or girl—wants to be a slut,” Sparks said at the podium.
But, MTV must have thought Russell did an okay job- as they announced he will be reprising his hosting duties during the Sept. 13 show.
MTV also announced that British band Muse will be performing, as well as country cutie Taylor Swift, who will be making her VMA debut.
