Simon Cowell sat down on Oprah Winfrey’s show Monday morning to talk about all the different countries discovering new talent
It’s brought democracy back to the world, it gives democracy a shot.
One of these new phenoms, Susan Boyle from Scotland recently appeared on Simon’s show, Britain’s Got Talent Scotland…and the rest, as they say, is history.
Susan, who’s become an overnight internet singing sensation joined Simon and Oprah via satellite from her home in Scotland and told them what it’s like to be newly famous.
I really enjoy it, like a dream come true…

Obviously,louiswalsh2009, has never studied voice. She has everything every voice coach desires to pull into a singer. Vibrato, inflection, acting, understanding and portraying the music. Many voice coaches can’t sing as well as the talents they develop in others, duh. You need to but to close your eyes and let the sound of Ms. Boyle’s voice wash over you. Listen to her rendition of Cry Me A River. You’re just unable to meld the talent with the appearance and that’s YOUR problem, not hers.

And she doesnt get to choose weather to be in the front page… the media make stories about her. She could wake up one morning and have no clue that she son the front page.
And for “posing” she hardly poses. She just stands there and smiles. Look at her, shes no Beyonc’e and she knows it.

Have you not heard her other song recordings? “Cry me a River” for starters. This woman does not have to work at anything other than regular singing of the songs to exercise her vocal cords to belt out what comes natural to her now. But she still has potential to hone and refine her voice into something far more powerful and profound.

Why? give us a real good explanation. She finally had a bit more money in her pocket to colour her hair and perk up her facial appearance and a ton of pressure to do a huge makeover, which she resisted.
Why is she a sellout for dying her hair? Plucking her eyebrows and putting a little rouge on her face?
The woman had no job, (which means no steady income). Taking care of her basic needs, volunteering and feeding her cat was paramount. Sprucing up, a luxury, that she can now afford!
You are in the music industry? And minimize what and who this woman is? Yes, it has been hyped up by now, no doubt, but not too many people can watch her performance without *tearing up inside*.
Talent is one thing.
Singing coaches (when they are good) bring out the potential best in a person. But the credit is not theirs in the end, they are a catalyst only.
Do you credit the coaches of olympic athletes with the gold medal award, or the athlete themselves?
The difference with Susan Boyle is that her voice needed more practice and training…..but the combination of charisma and talent is the huge seller: natural, genuine loving charisma is what brought her up and over the top!
We all have that shining beauty inside, she was and still is a beautiful woman. She is like that ordinary looking pebble on the beach, but when exposed to water and polish reveals the esquisite beauty and formations within.

I love Susan. Such a sweet person. Lived life the right way. Looked after her parents all her like. Overcame obstacles like slight brain damage caused by oxygen depravation during delivery, got made fun of her entire life by bullies because of her physical appearance. Never been married or even kissed romantically. And now her talent, which she practised since the age of 12 is being recognized for what it is, awesome !!!!!!!!

Well, “never been kissed” is a common phrase used in Scotland – not usually taken literally! Only about half of cohabiting couples here are actually married. Susan was just clarifying her marital status as not having had either an official or “common-law” husband.

Obviously,louiswalsh2009, has never studied voice. She has everything every voice coach desires to pull into a singer. Vibrato, inflection, acting, understanding and portraying the music. Many voice coaches can’t sing as well as the talents they develop in others, duh. You need to but to close your eyes and let the sound of Ms. Boyle’s voice wash over you. Listen to her rendition of Cry Me A River. You’re just unable to meld the talent with the appearance and that’s YOUR problem, not hers.

Have you not heard her other song recordings? “Cry me a River” for starters. This woman does not have to work at anything other than regular singing of the songs to exercise her vocal cords to belt out what comes natural to her now. But she still has potential to hone and refine her voice into something far more powerful and profound.

Why? give us a real good explanation. She finally had a bit more money in her pocket to colour her hair and perk up her facial appearance and a ton of pressure to do a huge makeover, which she resisted.

The woman had no job, (which means no steady income). Taking care of her basic needs, volunteering and feeding her cat was paramount. Sprucing up, a luxury, that she can now afford!

The difference with Susan Boyle is that her voice needed more practice and training…..but the combination of charisma and talent is the huge seller: natural, genuine loving charisma is what brought her up and over the top!

The major point is that the lady can really sing. In a world where so many people are discontented with what they look like and try to be someone else, she is refreshing. Actually, her usage of ‘your’ (if you’re talking about carolind007) was perfectly acceptable. She was describing each action as ‘an action belonging to you’. It’s archaic, but I kinda like archaic.
If you check out Lorna Doone by RD Blackmore, you’ll find the same usage.

Ok let me read it again…. umm I’m still right. You need to go back to “grammar 101″ mate. “Your” is a possessive that comes before an object eg. “your comment” or “your song”. The comment posted by fadibeg (?) with “your smiling” etc above is incorrect because it is a subject and verb relationship – “you are smiling”. Ok that’s enough. Believe what you like!
