So much for Tyra Banks taking over for Oprah as the queen of daytime.
The former model is calling it quits with her talk show after 5 years.
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” the former model announced on her website. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
Tyra’s final season wraps up in the spring of 2010.
Good news for America’s Next Top Model fans, though! Tyra will keep the reality show rolling, starting its 15th season soon. Tyra is also launching Bankable Studios, she says, and “will be making MOVIES!!!”
Hmmm…maybe she will be the next Oprah after all.
