While most of the world pays tribute to Michael Jackson, a New York congressman is blasting the king of pop.
“Let’s knock out the psychobabble… This guy was a pervert, a child molester, he was a pedophile.”
Republican representative Peter King taped this video on Long Island Sunday, and put it on YouTube.
“I really think the media has disgraced itself, I think too many people in public life have made fools of themselves by talking about Michael Jackson as if he was some kind of hero. There’s nothing good about this guy, may have been a good singer, did some dancing, but bottom line is would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room with Michael Jackson, so what are we glorifying him for.”
While a spokesman for the Jackson family says they won’t dignify King’s statements with a comment, an attorney for Jermaine Jackson, called King’s video “highly inflammatory” and “defamatory.”
